Easy Apple Galette


  • 3 Gala apples, washed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 tablespoon slivered almonds

Cooking Instructions

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Core and thinly slice the apples.  If they are organic, you do not have to peel them.

Step 3: In a bowl, toss the apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, and brown sugar.

Step 4: Roll out the puff pastry to 1/4-inch thick.

Step 5: Arrange apples on top of the pastry sheet.  Trim excess pastry and fold the edges over the first and nearest layer of apples.

Step 6: Brush the edges with a beaten egg.  Sprinkle the galette with slivered almonds.

Step 7: Bake the galette for 20 minutes.

Step 8: Serve warm with a scoop of Easy Vanilla Nice Cream.
