Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, homemade preferred
- 1 egg, beaten
- 8 ounces brie cheese, sliced
- 2 tablespoons chopped pistachios
- 2 tablespoons mixed dried fruits (cranberries, raisins, plumbs, etc)
- 3 tablespoons cranberry jam
Cooking Instructions
Step 1: Roll out the puff pastry sheet to a 1/8-inch thick circle, or as close as possible. For the puff pastry dough, see a step-by-step guide here.
Step 2: Place a small bowl in the center and press gently so the edges make an imprint.
Step 3: Use a sharp knife and cut through the smaller imprint circle, creating 8 triangles.
Step 4: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 5: Spread cranberry jam over the outer ring of the puff pastry circle.
Step 6: Place brie cheese over the spread jam. Sprinkle over with pistachios and dried fruits.
Step 7: Take one of the eight triangles and fold over the cheese and nuts, and press to seal with the outer edge of the puff pastry. Repeat with remaining triangles.
Step 8: Brush the wreath with egg and bake for 20 minutes.
Step 9: Slice and serve at room temperature.
