Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces vodka
- 1/2 ounce dry vermouth
- 3 ounces tart cherry juice
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
- 3-4 medium-sized strawberries
- Garnish: Orange peel cut in the shape of Ohio, or a strawberry slice
Cooking Instructions
Step 1: Gently muddle strawberries in a cocktail shaker. You’ll want to press firmly on the berries to release their juices and flavor, but not so hard that you break them into small pieces.
Step 2: Add the vodka, dry vermouth, tart cherry juice, simple syrup, and balsamic vinegar to the cocktail shaker, then fill with ice.
Step 3: Shake until well-chilled and combined.
Step 4: Double-strain your cocktail into a glass. To double-strain, first remove the lid from your cocktail shaker and replace it with your cocktail strainer. Then hold a fine mesh kitchen strainer over your glass. Carefully pour the contents of your shaker through both strainers into your glass.
Step 5: Garnish with an orange peel cut in the shape of Ohio or a strawberry slice and serve immediately.
