Simple Brown Butter Pasta


  • Water, for boiling
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 pound pasta of choice
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Cooking Instructions

Step 1: Cook pasta until al dente by adding it to salted boiling water.

Step 2: 3 minutes before draining the pasta, add the broccoli florets to the boiling water.  Drain both the cooked pasta & cooked broccoli; set aside.

Step 3: Melt the butter until browned using a shallow skillet.

Step 4: Add the zest of one lemon, pepper, and salt to taste.

Step 5: Add the pasta, broccoli, & Parmesan cheese and mix until melted & fully combined.
