Ingredients
- 2 pounds shrimp, shells split and deveined
- 2 1/2 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3/4 cup beer (or 1/2 cup dry white wine)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup water
- Lemon wedges, for serving
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Cooking Instructions
Step 1: Toss shrimp with Old Bay seasoning.
Step 2: Add olive oil to pan and heat on medium-high heat.
Step 3: When pan is smoking, add shrimp and let sit for 30 seconds to sear shrimp and create brown bits on bottom of pan.
Step 4: Toss shrimp and add beer or wine.
Step 5: Cook for 30 seconds and add butter and water.
Step 6: When shrimp turns pink, taste the broth and add salt, pepper, and Old Bay seasoning as needed.
Step 7: Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
